It takes two, baby.
That’s right, two face washes, back-to-back, to remove all the debris that settles on your face throughout the day.
Think about it: Your face is the most exposed part of your body. It takes on everything from makeup and sunscreen to dirt, dust, sweat, and oxidized sebum (the chemical reaction that occurs when the oil from your pores interacts with oxygen, causing inflammation and, ultimately, acne).
“Wash acne with oil?!,” you say. “Are y’all crazy?”
It goes back to basic chemistry: Like dissolves like.
Washing with an oil-based cleanser like Skin Savior Balm or choose between Vitamin B Cleansing Oil or Cleansing Solid to dissolve oil-based dirt like oxidized sebum and the oils that comprise heavy makeup and sunscreen.
Following with a foaming cleanser like Easy Does It removes water-based dirt like dust and sweat and deeply purifies the skin.
Despite the extra wash, the process is quick and easy.
Using clean, dry hands, apply a small amount of Skin Savior Balm or Vitamin B Cleansing Oil or Solid to your dry face and massage gently for one to two minutes. Remove the balm using a warm, damp washcloth. The Vitamin B Cleansing Oil and Solid is designed to simply rinse clean with water, no washcloth required.
Follow with Easy Does It, paired with a Cleansing Sponge. The cleanser will remove any remaining residue left on the face after the oil wash. The Cleansing Sponge helps remove makeup and debris from those hard-to-reach places such as around the eyes, nose, and jawline.
Finally, while your skin is still damp, apply a soothing moisturizerAdded tip: Wash your pillowcase! Your pillow is a collection site for dirt and oil left by your skin. Be sure to use a clean pillowcase every week as part of your clear-skin plan.
