Mom’s Time Out

One of the unexpected joys of simplifying your life is that sometimes you find yourself with a little extra of the two things we never seem to have enough of… time and money. Suzanne recently found herself with a rare bit of free time (starting a business and having two growing boys often feels like the opposite of simple!) and was able to take a “mom time out” for her favorite nurturing ritual. Spa Day!

But sometimes that bit of free time is defined in minutes rather than hours. So we created a little at home spa ritual. Because in order to take care of others, you must first take care of yourself.

One Love Organics’ Mom’s* Time Out

1. Fill a large, shallow bowl with warm water. Add a couple of drops of your favorite aromatherapy oil. We love lavender for a relaxing soak. And for a special treat add a few rose petals. Pure luxury! Soak your feet for 5-10 minutes.

1. Mix Brand New Day Microderma Scrub and Masque with Manuka honey to create a luxurious, healing masque. Apply liberally to your feet and legs. And relax for 15 minutes. Try to let go of any worries or things you need to do tomorrow, next week, for the next five years. We’ve all been there. But just be here. Meditate. Check in with yourself. Revel in the simple luxury of a few stolen moments all for yourself.

2. Before removing the masque, gently exfoliate your feet and legs. Massage the honey masque over your feet and legs using circular motions. Remove with warm water and
pat dry.

3. Apply a heavy coat of the Skin Savior Multibalm to your feet and legs and put on cotton socks. Leave them on overnight. You’ll wake up feeling renewed and refreshed and ready for another day of running after little ones.

So call a time out! And enjoy.

*You don’t have to be a mom of course to enjoy a little self declared time out.
