You may say I’m a dreamer…

We are definitely dreamers. Idle daydreams while watching clouds change shape across a blue, blue sky. Fanciful dreams of sleep that create new worlds and realities. The inspired dreams of icons for peace and love in the world. We love them all. But our favorite kinds of dreams are the ones that motivate and inspire us to live life to the fullest. We’ve found that when we are clear (and honest) with ourselves about want we really want in life, we can’t help but make them come true.

Often clarity is the hardest part. What we think we should want might be completely different from what we really do want. (This is the entire premise of the book Stumbling on Happiness. A fascinating read!) Writing can be a great way to unlock your hearts deepest desires. Ask yourself, “If I could create the life of my dreams, what would it look like?” and let yourself go. Try not to edit yourself. Or over think it. Just let it flow and see what you discover.

We’re also partial to creating “dream” boards or inspiration boards. Ok, we love them. There’s nothing like seeing your vision to inspire and motivate you. Not to mention they are super fun to make! Gather images you love. Place the board somewhere you will see it every day. And viola! Daily inspiration. And a little slice of happy. You can pin images and magazine tears to a bulletin board near your desk. (Of course the board itself could be inspiring. How cute is this?) Or create a background for your computer screen from images pulled from around the web. (Pinterest is our favorite online resource. You can follow Kendra’s boards too!) The important thing is that you see it every day and that it inspires you to make your dreams a reality.

This was the inspiration board we created to inspire our packaging. Our own little slice
of happy.

Ok. We might actually be a little obsessed with inspiration boards. We make them for everything. We make them for our line, our dream home, vacations, fashion inspiration, you name it. I mean really, who has just one dream? So have fun. Go overboard! That’s what dreams are for.
