We admit it. We’re obsessed. We’ve been spending more time than we’d like to disclose on the new website Of a Kind. Each week, they release a new limited edition piece (designed exclusively for the site) from a young, independent designer. The editions run from 5 to 50 pieces and as they say, “Good things come in small batches, and small batches go fast.” Now that’s our kind of “fast fashion.” Clearly we love the small batch concept. But we were hooked when we discovered that along with each edition, they share stories about the designers, interviews about their creative process, favorites spots where they live, what inspires them, and anything else that might lend insight into the life of the designer behind the wares. Let’s just say, we hung out. For a while.

Here are a few of our recent favorites.

The Geode Lariat necklace by Erica Weiner and a custom wallet by Clare Vivier. Absolutely stunning right? We’ve long been fans of Clare’s lovely fold over clutches and were sad we missed out on what can only be described as the perfect wallet. They weren’t lying. The batches go fast!

The perfect winter hat (made by a designer who lives in Minnesota naturally… how cute is she?!) and a lovely all weather scarf. Of course we love the bold lip styling in the photographs too!
